Sports & Fitness

Participation in sports and fitness is a pillar of Pan-American School’s program and we offer all students from ECE to Grade 12 the option to participate in a range of sports and fitness activities in the morning or afternoon.  Our sports program includes participation in national and international tournaments in soccer, basketball, volleyball, and cross-country .  This includes local and international events, organized through our membership in the Association of American Schools of Central America (AASCA) and the Asociación de Centros Educativos Privadas (ACEP).  Competitive sports teams in Secondary School practice early in the morning, before the beginning of the school day.

Through Sports, we comprehensively enhance the abilities and skills of our students, so that they are people with a physical, social and emotional balance.

Disciplines such as Soccer, Basketball, Volleyball and Athletics promote camaraderie, teamwork, coexistence, friendship; in addition, the determination to achieve goals, healthy competitiveness and improvements in the well-being of young people in general.

 

-ECE and PYP: Soccer, Basketball, Volleyball and Athletics plus P.E. (Physical Education)

-MYP and DP: Soccer, Basketball, Volleyball and Athletics plus Fitness (Academic physical conditioning program)

 

Schedules:

ECE: Monday through Thursday, 1:30 - 2:30 p.m.

PYP: Monday to Thursday, 2:30 - 3:30 p.m.

MYP and DP Sports Program: Monday through Thursday, 6:00 to 7:00 a.m.

MYP and DP Fitness: Monday through Thursday, 7:15 to 8:00 a.m.

 

Fitness Program 

This program involves participation in physical conditioning activities for all levels of Secondary students from Monday through Thursday during the first period of the day.

The objective of this successful program is to start the day with physical activities and breakfast, and then continue with academic classes.
